Celebrate The Bees

Bees Wax Glitter Candles

A wonderful holiday project for the entire family. The glittered candles make beautiful gifts! Use the project as a time to teach young ones about the importance of bees in nature.
Level: Beginner

Comments:

In this video we show the basics on how to do it. Let your imagination run wild!  You can do a mix of colors and flake sizes or do contrasting colors of glitter against the wax. You can also cut out paper shapes and lay them over the glitter bed. When you place your wax onto the glitter the spots where the shapes were will not be glittered. You can then leave those places blank or hand brush another color into those shapes. Have fun!

Glitter: Some glitters are more heat resistant than others. The ones that have the highest tolerance are the Polyester Metallics, Holographics, & Pearlescents.
