Calculating Volume- Cylinder shape pool
We have had requests for help determining how to estimate the amount of glitter for small pools with people in them. This video will take you through the process.
Comments:
This video covers calculating the volume of a cylinder shaped pool with a person in it.
Note: In the video we give a formula of 1 pound of glitter equaling 1 quart (in volume). This is sort of true, but not always. Not all glitters weigh the same. A clear glitter will always be lighter than a metallic glitter. This is due to coatings and colorants. A metallic gold glitter will weigh heavier than a metallic green glitter. We cover this phenomenon in another video that you may want to watch. When doing projects, it is always smart to get more than you think you will need. Why? So, you don't have to pay shipping twice when you have to buy more!

Craft Glitter is generally what people use to fill large spaces. Why? The cost really. Poly glitter is so expensive that rarely can anyone afford to fill any large containers with it. Craft Glitter does have limitations, so be sure to do your homework to make sure it will work for your project.
