The first platform we mixed Storybrook Brown and Prospectors Gold metallic glitters into clear epoxy. It was done as a flood coat using a squeegee to encourage it to spread and flood. If you choose to use a brush instead, please be aware that bristles easily fall out with epoxy (into the epoxy) and you may be better to use a foam brush.
The second platform was done with Orange Citrus metallic and Ozark Orange pealescent glitter mixed with epoxy. The metallic catches the eye and the ozark is a more subtle glitter that offers a warm appearance.
The third platform was just straight Adams Gold pearlescent. This line of glitter is more subtle, but it is very classy and warm feeling. It would make wonderful countertops where you want sparkle without an overpowering light dance.
There are lots of varieties of epoxy out there. We like the Envirotex Lite because it is extrememly thick. When you are embedding raised designs and want to flush surface feeling, thick is what you want. The other variety that is great (more expensive) is called Best Bar Top Epoxy or Ultra. That one gives you a full 1/8" thick coat!

Use Solvent Resistant Polyester Glitters with epoxy. You can find a large selection in the Glitter For Floors & More section of the site.
