Glitter & Light
A Perfect Friendship

Votive Candles 101

In this video we take a simple kit (like you find at a craft store) and make glitter candles with it. It is a fun and fairly simple project to do. We also cover adding glitter to the outside using the melt method.

Skill level: Beginner (adult supervision)

Comments:

Not all glitters do well in heat. It is best to use polyester glitters that can handle 350 degrees. This means sticking with the Metallics, Holographics, and Pearlescents for the most part. Here is a chart that shows you which glitters can handle the heat.

We really like this tool for all sorts of crafting applications.
Search notes. When using the search feature it is best to skip using the word glitter. For example type in FLOOR instead of Glitter Floor.
