Let's glitter mini plastic Vespa style scooters!
We took Razor brand scooters that were made for 8-10 year olds and glittered them for adult riders. It was a hoot and we were a big hit in the 4th of July parade! The scooters can handle up to 170lbs so many adults can have a great time with these.
The project wasn't too difficult, but we wanted to share our process and some tips and tricks with you.

Comments:
Because of the sealing process we do recommend using polyester glitters that are solvent resistant. We did use one Hybrid and it stood up to the sealing process fine (we were surprised). The one comment that we make in the video but want to give again- spray the glue on heavy (but not dripping) and do not wait for it to get tacky like the can says. You need to glitter instantly for it to stick to the plastic before the glue sets!
We went with the Razor brand scooters due to their price (which was very good) and the fact that we needed ones that could handle 170lb adult riders. If you end up getting one be sure to ride it with your knees out for balance. They are meant for 8 year old kids so they are a bit unstable if you ride with your knees in. Once you get the hang of it, they seem very safe and are great fun. We hope you give it a try!
