Glitter & Go!

Glittering Plastic- Kids Pull Cart

Glittering plastic can be really tricky. A lot of adhesives do not stick to it and can peel off. In this video we give you some tips and also show you a project being done on a kids pull cart.

Comments:

Using Google to find out the type of plastic you are working with is really easy. Just like the video says- simply type in the words PLASTIC NUMBER 4 or whatever number you find on the plastic (inside the triangle shape). Kids toys are made of various plastics, but there are two very common ones- PVC and Polyethylene.
We used polyester ultra fine glitter on this cart with fine flake accents. We wanted it to be able to live outside in the sun without much sun fade. You can use craft glitter over the spray we used, BUT we would not recommend it for sealing it with the same spray (will kill a lot of the shine and may slightly damage the glitter surface as well). Also, craft glitter fades in the sun pretty fast, so you would want to keep that in mind when selecting glitter.

Search notes. When using the search feature it is best to skip using the word glitter. For example type in FLOOR instead of Glitter Floor.
