Nail Polish and Glitter
We decided to run a test on all our solvent resistant glitters. We wanted to see if there was any breakdown or bleeding with any of the colors. We started with clear glitter and added a teaspoon of glitter to each bottle (this is not a suspension test). Here are the results!
Notes: Many glitters cannot be used for nail polish! For best results, check our Usage Chart and pay attention to the solvent resistant column. If buying other brands- be sure to check with them and make sure their glitters are solvent resistant.
Craft Glitter- DO NOT USE! Yes, the price is wonderful, but as soon as it hits the nail polish it will melt or bleed. It is not solvent resistant at all.
Acrylic Glitter- OK for using with acrylic or gel nail systems only. It is not solvent resistant so it will melt and bleed if you mix it into nail polish.
Polyester Glitter- OK for acrylic, gels and nail polish. Most polyester glitters are solvent resistant. Some colors may bleed a bit so test, test test!
