Let's Sift!

Quick Tip- Sifting Glitter

Do you have a mix of flake sizes and need to remove some of the sizes? Using screens is an easy way to reuse your mixed glitters.

Comments:

By using screens you can isolate a glitter flake sizes from a mix. It helps to have a nice collection of various size screens on hand if you do this often. Using this method you can sift for just about any glitter particle size. You may need to run it through a variety of screen sizes in order to be able to accomplish the task, but it can be done. If you are doing large amounts, doing it over a large trashcan or over a heavy sheet plastic is the way to go. You can move the glitter around with your hands or if doing it over sheet plastic, a couple of people can shake the glitter back and forth through the screen. It goes pretty fast and it is a great way to reuse your glitter and save some money.
