Glitter + HVLP = Wow!

Spraying Glitter Notes

Just a quick talk about spraying glitter with an HVLP sprayer (siphon or gravity fed)

Further Comments:

Spraying glitter is a really fast way to lay down an even accent coverage. It can seem daunting to people because of the equipment involved. However, investing in an all-in-one system is a great way to dip your toes into this wonderful application method. Once you get the hang of it, you will never want to go back. It is best used for accent coverage and also for sealing. Full coverage would be tricky with a HVLP unit (I would go with a glitter gun instead to apply the glitter and use the HVLP to seal).

Own a compressor and have experience with spraying? We love the Devilbiss 4 for solvents. Affordable and lays down a beautiful finish with solvent urethanes, clear coats and more. The 1.5 tip sprays ultra fine glitters with ease.

We call this the "Susie Homemaker" sprayer. It is just about as simple a unit to use and just about anyone can afford it. We use it for quick jobs or when we do not have access to our compressors. It is capable of spraying Ultra Fine glitters with the 1.5 tip that comes with it. HVLP Spray Gun Kit

Glitter Guns are great for full coverage. We have a video showing one in action. We sell and rent them.

When spraying glitter using solvent based mediums, be sure to use solvent based glitters. We sell a large selection of them in the "floors" section of the website.
Search notes. When using the search feature it is best to skip using the word glitter. For example type in FLOOR instead of Glitter Floor.
